Holy Cross Chapel stands as a conservative and traditional Anglican presence in Lake County, Illinois. Our theology is in line with that of the Anglican Communion, world-wide, and our worship follows the form of the Book of Common Prayer of the Episcopal Church, 1979 edition. Our liturgy is Anglo-catholic and our music draws from the best of traditional hymnody as well as contemporary compositions.

The Holy Cross Chapel was organized as a part of the Words of Blessing Ministry, a not-for-profit corporation under the laws of the State of Illinois, in accordance with the canons of the Episcopal church. The chapel is in the process of becoming a parish in the Diocese of Quincy in the Anglican Church of North America.
